William A. Kibbe & Associates provided structural, mechanical and electrical engineering design services for this facility. Working with the Developer, Construction Manager, and Architect, plans were formed and coordinated with several suppliers of advanced state-of-the-art equipment to facilitate this contemporary office building to enhance the care for heart patients and their specific needs.

The first and second floors were finished, with the third floor planned for future expansion. Tight budgets and time constraints for construction were of major concern as the building progressed through development.

Poor soil conditions resulted in 100 foot deep pilings being driven for a stable foundation which supports the steel super-structure. The mechanical system employs a variable air volume distribution system to enable specific building areas precise control of temperature.

Electrical systems were designed to enable a most flexible layout of offices and computer LAN connections in all parts of the building, with collection at a single point for retrieval of e-info. Energy throughout the building can be monitored and controlled for efficient use of utility resources.
