The MATHCOUNTS Competition Series is a unique program that encourages interest and involvement in mathematics among intermediate school students with the goal of enriching this crucial skill in today’s youth. This national coaching and competitive math program promotes achievement through a series of fun and engaging bee-style contests between like-minded, motivated students.

William A. Kibbe & Associates was happy to volunteer once again this year by helping to sponsor the local MATHCOUNTS Competition that was held at Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) on February 27, 2016.

Over 40 students from six participating schools in the Great Lakes Bay Region competed in the annual competition, and 20+ volunteers representing the Michigan Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE), SVSU, and Midland High School Honor Society helped proctor, score, and administer the competition. Top students will continue on to compete at the state level later this month, and we wish them luck!
