A renovated band shell is the latest upgrade to downtown Bay City, Michigan’s Wenonah Park. William A. Kibbe & Associates provided architectural and engineering design services for this project and others throughout the 6.1 acre riverfront park including a 5,000 SF multi-purpose pavilion and accessory building completed in 2018, and a new park entrance and streetscape to be developed at a later date.

The new band shell structure sits on a fully replaced raised stage and includes upgraded acoustical and lighting system design to enhance performances. Perimeter sidewalks were also replaced. Bright blue accents on the underside of the curved structure compliment the roof of the adjacent pavilion and accessory building. Electrical design includes new color changing and dimmable stage lighting.

The design team for this project includes Serenus Johnson Construction, Clements Electric, and Bay City‘s Downtown Management Board Chairperson, Mike Bacigalupo.
