William A. Kibbe & Associates provided architectural and engineering design services for a 350,000 SF, $70M manufacturing and office facility for Magna Electric Vehicle Structures (MEVS) located in St. Clair, Michigan, within a 110-acre industrial park.

Magna is a global automotive company that has supplied the automotive industry for over 50 years. Including this project, Magna now has 25 manufacturing facilities in Michigan. This new state-of-the-art facility features a specialty electrocoating system used to build battery enclosures for GM’s new GMC Hummer EV, aligning this project with the automotive industry’s electrification growth.

In addition to ~285,000 SF of production space and assembly lines, there is also 60,000 SF of modern office space including desk seating, conference rooms, cafeterias, locker rooms, and more. This new facility is expected to bring more than 300 new jobs to the area over the next five years.
